Send a puppy: Is it safe?

With many years of experience in the shipping industry, both shipping and receiving puppies, I know that all puppies are well taken care of during their journey. In fact, shipping can be less stressful than driving across cities, states, or countries to pick up a puppy. Even less since the shipment only takes a few hours for the new owners to receive their puppy.

What is included in the shipping process?

After we have confirmed payments from you. The day and time will mainly depend on flight availability and temperature, as well as when we can both travel to the airport. I can usually book a flight to ship the same day, although it’s a bit of a hassle and costs a bit more. After booking the flight, I will email, text or call you with the flight number, times, ticket and where to pick up the puppy. Then it’s just a matter of picking up the puppy at your airport. We can also arrange home delivery so you don’t have to go to the airport for collection. You just wait for the delivery staff to take your puppy right to your door. However, this is also very stress-free. You will need identification (driver’s license or ID card) and the airline ticket number we gave you. Then we ask private individuals to contact me as soon as possible after they have received their puppy as we are very keen to hear from you if you think everything was ok and any other questions you may have. The explanation seems long, but it actually goes very quickly! Puppies will also be offered food and extra water during the trip if needed. The puppy will arrive within a few hours the same day it was sent. The process takes about 8 to 12 hours and VIP trips are usually shorter.

All the puppies travel in the belly of the plane where the temperature is kept at a pleasant 70 degrees. Same as for the passengers and they are the last on and first off the plane. The only difference this time of year is that airlines can strictly respect the minimum temperature in each seat, even if the plane is always kept at 70 degrees. I think it is mainly for their responsibility and protection. Likewise, they are not shipped in the summer when temperatures are too high on the road. If so, we just wait for the next best day to ship, or earlier or later in the day to combat the hot/cold part of the day. After bringing the puppy home, you will be in direct contact with us with updates, ask questions and form a relationship. We take care of the housing of our babies and of course would rather keep in touch and see the little puppy grow.
